A full “ECG” Health Assessment helps to give you peace of mind by reviewing your physical condition as well as your lifestyle to help ensure your continued health and well-being.
With a clear and detailed picture of your health, a “ECG” Health Assessment enables you to take full control of your health for the future.
We offer a wide range of health assessments and while each one caters for different needs, all are provided on the principle that early detection of illness can mean easier management of the problem and more successful treatment.
All the health assessments include:
- a medical history and lifestyle questionnaire
- a physical examination
- a consultation with a doctor (or nurse)
- the opportunity to ask questions and discuss concerns
- an action plan with practical advice to help minimize health risks
Five diseases cause more than two-thirds of all deaths annually – heart disease, cancer, stroke, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (bronchitis, emphysema) and diabetes. Even the first symptoms can often be dangerous and conditions can go undetected for a long time, for example:
- > 30% don’t survive their first heart attack
- > 15%-30% remain permanently disabled after a stroke
- > 93% die of lung cancer within 5 years
- > 500,000 to 1 million people in the UK have diabetes but are unaware of it.
